Muir Woods: Beloved Monument

In 1998 Channel Lumber provided Forest Stewardship Council™ Con heart redwood timbers and  3 x 6 & 3 x 12 treated timbers to boardwalk and easement repairs in Muir Woods.

Muir Woods is one of San Francisco's beloved national monuments for locals and tourists alike. The park is cloaked in towering Redwood Trees and contains 6 miles of trails, many of which are built with timbers provided by Channel Lumber.

Hundreds of years ago, Redwoods trees were abundant throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Today, they are much more rare and grow only in coastal Northern California and Oregon.
